Welcome to Woodmont Academy! Thank you for visiting our website. It is my pleasure to give you a brief overview of our wonderful school and the important work we do here.

We are committed to academic excellence. Our curriculum is challenging and our teachers are dedicated. Woodmont students receive personalized instruction in a nurturing setting so each student can develop his or her greatest God-given potential. We are blessed with excellent teachers, many of whom hold advanced degrees in education and in their fields of concentration. Woodmont Academy graduates go on to attend the very best Catholic high schools in the area, such as Mount de Sales Academy and Calvert Hall.

In addition to academics, we place a high value on the formation of one’s character, spiritual life, and apostolic development. The mission of Woodmont Academy is to provide the highest quality education and develop Christian leaders. This mission is fulfilled daily as our students grow as individuals convinced of the truth, prepared and committed to foster a society where Christian values are embraced, shared and practiced. Our commitment is:

  • To teach each student by transmitting knowledge appropriate to the grade level;
  • To educate each student to love authentic values and to develop a sense of what is good, right, noble, just, and beautiful; and,

This commitment is made clear in our motto, “Semper Altius”, Latin for “Always Higher”.
