Important Dates and Information
Open House
- Sunday, November 11, 2007 - 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. for Kindergarten – 8th Grade
- January 8, 2008 - 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. for PK4
- January 16, 2008- 9:00- 11:00 am
- January 29, 2008- 9:00-11:00 am , Join us during Catholic Schools Week!
Campus Tours
- Campus tours are available every Tuesday at 10:00 am. We ask that you register in advance by calling the Admissions office at 443-574-8100, x104. All tours begin in the Administration building #1. Please check in with our school receptionist.
- These tours are designed to answer your questions about the school and the admissions process and to provide an opportunity to observe students and teachers.
Application
- The first step for admission consideration is to submit an application and the application fee.
- Woodmont follows an annual admissions process. Applicants must reapply for admission in subsequent years.
- It is suggested that parents of future applicants contact the admissions office in the fall of the year prior to the school year that consideration is being requested.
Admissions Process
Parent interview, student interview (gr.4-8) and student testing are scheduled once all requested materials are received and fees are paid.
Shadow Days
- A student, applying to Woodmont in grades 3-6, may spend a day at the school participating in class activities. Please contact the Admissions office to arrange a date.
Interview
- Parents will be contacted by the admissions office for their interview.These will be scheduled from February 20-29, 2008.
- Student interviews are conducted for students applying in grades 4-8. These will be held February 11-14 and will be scheduled with the admission office.
Testing
- There is no admissions testing for Pre-K3 and Pre-K4.
- Student Testing for Kindergarten - grade 2 will be held on February 9, 2008.
- Student Testing for grades 3 - 7 will be held February 11 through 14. This will be scheduled on an individual basis with the admissions office.
Placement
- Applicants are placed in the appropriate grade level based upon age, consistency between earned grades and scores on standardized tests, conduct and effort ratings, and documented teacher evaluations. Placement is determined by the Admissions Review Team.
Notification
- Acceptance status letters will be mailed when the Admissions Review team has made their decision.
Enrollment
- If accepted, the non-refundable tuition fee is due with the enrollment contract.
Wait Pool
- Due to limited class size in some grades, not all qualified applicants can be admitted. These applicants will be placed in a wait pool and admitted if space becomes available. Applicants must reapply for admission in subsequent years.
The above are general guidelines utilized by the administration in determining acceptance. The Admissions Committee team makes the final decision. Woodmont Academy employs an open admissions policy with regard to sex, race, and national origin.
Tuition and Fees: 2008-09
- 3 Day 1/2 Day Pre-K 3: (Tuesday through Thursday 8:30 -12:30) $3,900
Payment Options
Payment in full: When tuition is paid in full no later than March 1, 2008, a 5% discount applies
SMART: Tuition may be paid using the SMART Tuition Management Program. Tuition is paid in ten monthly payments from March 2008 to December 2008. The first payment is made to the school and the remaining nine are paid through SMART. There is an annual set up fee of $38 per family. For information, go to www.smartontheweb.com
TUITION ASSISTANCE
Woodmont Academy is able to offer limited tuition assistance to students enrolled in grades K – 8. The school subscribes to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). You may apply for tuition assistance online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. Your application for tuition assistance must be completed online no later than February 8, 2008.
